There were TEN COLORFUL cars in the SMALL street. The DRIVERS were nervous.
The COLORFUL cars WANTED to find a place in a car park.
FINALLY, ONE of the parked cars left. A SMALL, RED Fiat car WANTED to park there. The DRIVER was too slow and missed it.
Suddenly, a big, shiny, BLUE Ford came. The DRIVER of the RED Fiat pressed the horn. He WANTED the big BLUE car to go away.
The ANGRY RED Fiat DRIVER gestured with his hands that he was FIRST.
FINALLY, he gave up and left the spot to the BLUE Ford.
The DRIVER of the RED Fiat was SAD. He got out of the car. He was short and wore RED glasses.
The DRIVER of the BLUE Ford left the car too. He was big and wore a BROWN jacket.
TWO DRIVERS were standing together.
* HOW could you? – asked the SAD DRIVER of the SMALL RED car.
The big man in a BROWN jacket didn’t pay attention to him.
He didn’t care about the BOY in the RED glasses. He went to the WHITE building and disappeared.
The SMALL RED car lost the fight. The big BLUE car won. Was it FAIR?

HOW did the situation looked?
It was a SUNNY DAY. There were a lot of cars in the SMALL street in the CITY centre. It was noisy there.
Cars were standing in a LONG row trying to find an empty parking space in a car park.
WHAT happened in a car park?
ONE of the parked cars left and there was an empty spot. A SMALL, RED Fiat car WANTED to park there. The DRIVER wasn’t CAREFUL enough and missed it.
Suddenly, a big shiny BLUE Ford appeared behind the Fiat. The DRIVER of the Fiat was ANGRY and pressed the horn. He was FIRST here!
Other drivers were ANGRY, too. They also pressed their horns.
The ANGRY Fiat DRIVER gestured with his hands that it was his spot. The big car didn’t even move. FINALLY, the SAD DRIVER left the spot to the big, shiny, BLUE Ford.
The DRIVER of the Fiat was SAD. He got out of the car.
The DRIVER of the Ford also left the car.
HOW did the story end?
– HOW could you? – asked the ANGRY DRIVER of the SMALL car in a WEAK voice. The big man didn’t pay attention to him. He didn’t care about WHAT the short BOY in the glasses said. He left the car park QUICKLY.
The SAD, short DRIVER lost the fight with the big ONE. Was it FAIR?

Edek character from the Tango novel
Edek is a rude character from the novel Tango written by Sławomir Mrożek in the mid twentieth century.
He wears an ugly checked shirt. He has dirty, grey trousers, LONG COLORFUL socks and YELLOW shoes. He has a SMALL moustache. He has ugly, greasy hair. He wears a big GOLDEN watch.
He doesn’t behave well. He is rude. Edek is not educated. He is STRONG and confident.
The man is dangerous. He kills someone in his FAMILY. He tells the rest of the FAMILY to keep quiet. His strength wins over intellect and wisdom.

Edek on the parking space in the twenty FIRST century
There are a lot of cars in a SMALL street in the CITY centre. The DRIVERS WANT to find an empty parking space. They don’t LIKE standing in a LONG line.
After a while, there is an empty spot. A SMALL Fiat WANTS to park there, but the DRIVER is clumsy and goes too far.
Suddenly, Edek arrives in a big, modern, BLUE Ford. He tries to take the empty spot. The Fiat’s DRIVER doesn’t LIKE it and presses the horn. He SAW it FIRST! But the DRIVER of the Ford doesn’t care. He WANTS that place.
The fight lasts for a while. The DRIVER of the Fiat gestures with his hands to tell the Ford to move back. Other DRIVERS also WANT to move forward. The clumsy Fiat DRIVER gives up and drives away. The big, STRONG Edek takes the spot easily.
However, the DRIVER of the Fiat doesn’t WANT to leave it like that. He gets out of the car. He is a slim, short BOY with a THIN face. He wears glasses. He asks why Edek took his spot.
Edek also gets out of the car. He is very tall and STRONG. He walks in a confident way. He doesn’t even LOOK at the short Fiat DRIVER. He can’t SEE him. He just walks away.
The story shows that STRONG people often take what they WANT. They don’t care about other people’s thoughts or feelings.
