Once upon a time, there was a kind man named Geppetto. Geppetto lives alone in a SMALL HOUSE. ONE DAY, he finds a BROWN piece of wood. “I will make a puppet!” he says.
Geppetto works HARD and makes a puppet with BLACK eyes, YELLOW hair, and a RED mouth. He names him Pinocchio. But suddenly something magical happens — Pinocchio moves! “DAD, LOOK, I can walk!” says Pinocchio.
The NEXT DAY, Pinocchio has to go to school. He walks to the VILLAGE and meets a GREY CAT and a RED FOX.”Pinocchio, come with us! We will make you rich!” they say. But the CAT and the FOX are not true FRIENDS. They steal Pinocchio’s money and run away.
LATER, Pinocchio reaches the sea. He SEES a big WHITE WHALE, and… SPLASH! The whale swallows him! Inside the whale’s belly, Pinocchio finds Geppetto. He had been swallowed too!
“DADDY! Here you are!” says Pinocchio. “My SON! We MUST get out of here!” says Geppetto.
Pinocchio and Geppetto have an idea: they want to make a fire inside the whale’s belly. The WHALE sneezes —ACHOO!— and out they go! SPLASH! They are FREE again!
Pinocchio gets HOME with Geppetto. To celebrate, they eat BREAD, CHEESE, and a RED APPLE.
That NIGHT, the BLUE FAIRY arrives and says: “Pinocchio, you have been good. NOW you will be a real BOY!”
Poof! Pinocchio is no longer made of wood. He is NOW a REAL BOY with soft skin and a beating heart.
Geppetto hugs him tight. Pinocchio is HAPPY because he KNOWS THE BEST thing in the world is being with his FAMILY.
Once upon a time, there was a kind CRAFTSMAN named Geppetto. He lived in a SMALL HOUSE, but he often FELT LONELY. ONE DAY, he created a wooden puppet and said with hope, “I wish I had a SON!”
That NIGHT, in the dark sky, the BLUE FAIRY appeared. She touched the puppet with her magic wand, she whispered “Geppetto is kind and generous. This puppet will have life!”
Poof! Pinocchio opened his eyes and moved!
The FAIRY SMILED and said: “Pinocchio, you are NOW a living puppet. But remember: if you WANT to become a REAL BOY, you MUST be brave.”
The NEXT DAY, on his way to SCHOOL, Pinocchio SAW a puppet THEATRE. It was full of lights and music. He was very curious. and he went inside. The puppet MASTER, Mangiafuoco, was an ANGRY man. “You will stay here and perform in my show,” he said. Pinocchio FELT WORRIED, but when Mangiafuoco gave him FIVE gold coins, he FELT HAPPY and forgot about SCHOOL.
On his way HOME, he met a FOX and a CAT. They stole his money and ran away. Luckily, the BLUE FAIRY appeared.”Pinocchio, WHAT happened?” she asked gently. Pinocchio LOOKED down and told her a lie. Poof! His nose grew longer! Pinocchio touched it and was SURPRISED.
The FAIRY made his nose normal again with her magic wand. “Lies don’t last LONG, Pinocchio. NOW go HOME to Geppetto.”
Pinocchio learned that his FATHER was lost at SEA. The strong WIND made the waves very high. Pinocchio jumped into the WATER, but… GLOOP! A giant whale swallowed him!
Inside the whale, he SAW Geppetto.”FATHER! I found you!” Pinocchio shouted with HAPPINESS. “My SON! We MUST get out of here!” Geppetto answered with WORRY.
Pinocchio had an idea! He used a LIGHTER to make a fire. The whale sneezed… ACHOO! And they were FREE!
Pinocchio had learned to be brave and HONEST, and brought Geppetto HOME safely.
That NIGHT, the BLUE FAIRY appeared again. “Pinocchio, you have been good and shown a big heart. NOW, you will become a REAL BOY!”
Pinocchio became a REAL BOY with soft skin and bright eyes. Geppetto hugged him with LOVE and said: “My DREAM has come true!”
Pinocchio SMILED, HAPPY to be a REAL BOY next to his FATHER.
Once upon a time, in Italy, there was an OLD but kind CRAFTSMAN named Geppetto. He lived alone in his workshop and spent most of his days carving wood. As he was FEELING LONELY. ONE DAY he decided to make a puppet and he named it Pinocchio.
THAT NIGHT, while the moon was shining in the dark sky, the BLUE FAIRY APPEARED. With a touch of her magic wand, she brought Pinocchio to life.
“Pinocchio,” she said, “you are NOW alive, but to become a REAL BOY, you MUST be HONEST and kind.”
THE NEXT MORNING, on his way to SCHOOL, Pinocchio SAW a puppet show. The lights were bright, the music was loud, and everything seemed interesting.
Instead of going to SCHOOL, he went inside the THEATRE. The puppet MASTER, Mangiafuoco, made Pinocchio perform in his show and paid him some with gold coins.
THEN, he met a clever FOX and a LAZY CAT. They were not reliable though. They tricked Pinocchio to steal his money and ran away. Pinocchio was LONELY and SAD.
The BLUE FAIRY APPEARED to save him but asked him to tell her the whole story FIRST. Pinocchio told her lies instead. SUDDENLY, his nose grew LONGER! He FELT embarrassed and ashamed.
“Pinocchio, lies will only bring you trouble”, she said. With a wave of her wand, she made his nose short again. Pinocchio promised to be HONEST, but he still had many lessons to learn.
A few weeks LATER, Pinocchio met a BOY named Candlewick, who proposed to him to go together to a place called Toyland. “In Toyland, you can play all day LONG and NEVER study!” he said.
Pinocchio thought it sounded perfect, so he went with Candlewick.
For many days, Pinocchio enjoyed himself. Until, ONE MORNING, something strange happened—his ears started growing! He LOOKED in a mirror and SAW that he was turning into a DONKEY.
“Help!” he shouted, but it was too late. Because he had been CARELESS and LAZY, he had changed.
Luckily, the BLUE FAIRY saved him again, but she warned him, “Pinocchio, if you continue this way, you will NEVER become a REAL BOY.” Pinocchio FINALLY UNDERSTOOD that he had to be responsible
ONE NIGHT, Pinocchio heard that Geppetto had gone out to sea to find him but had been swallowed by a huge whale.
Pinocchio WANTED to save him, so he jumped into the deep sea. The WATER was freezing cold. Suddenly, the Whale swallowed him too!
Inside the whale, he found Geppetto, who looked WEAK and SICK.[Text Wrapping Break] ” FATHER, I am here to save you!” Pinocchio said.
They lit a fire inside the whale, and the smoke made the whale sneeze—ACHOO! The whale spit them out, and they swam back to shore.
ONE EVENING, after everything he had learned, the BLUE FAIRY appeared once again. “Pinocchio, you have proven that you deserve to be a REAL BOY”.
With a wave of her wand, Pinocchio BECAME a REAL BOY! He ran to Geppetto, who hugged him with joy and said, “My SON, I am so PROUD OF you!”
Pinocchio SMILED. He KNEW that being a good person was the greatest magic of all.
